Brighton – Metropoly Challenge Treasure Hunt

METROPOLY CHALLENGE –  BRIGHTON

Referred to by some as ‘London on Sea’ – Brighton is one of the most Cosmopolitan and funky seaside resorts in Britain. Its unique history and closeness to the capital make it a superb venue for a treasure hunt of any sort ..and our Brighton Metropoly is simply brilliant.

Like most cities in Britain (in fact most cities in the Western World) there is a Brighton version of the board game ‘Monopoly’.

At CTH we have created our own Brighton Metropoly game and the difference is – you are playing it for real!

Teams have to collect properties by visiting and photographing their teams at locations such as

  • Brighton Marina
  • Brighton and Hove Albion football Club
  • The Royal Pavillion
  • The Laines
  • Maderia drive
  • Queens Road
  • Marlbrough Place
  • 7 Dials ……………………………….and many others

Many of our Metropoly Challenges can and often do also include places specific and unique to your team and or company.

‘Treasure Trove’ and ‘Pot Luck’ tasks include filming a scene from the film Brighton Rock on Brighton Pier, finding the oldest pub in Brighton (never a chore!), buying an outfit from any of the vintage boutiques, finding the largest boat in Brighton Marina or simply finding some tourists from Finland (proof required).

Brighton has many boast and bizarre claims to fame. For example…did you know that Pink Floyd debuted their Dark Side of the Moon album in Brighton in 1972 or did you know that there are more restaurants per head of population in Brighton (1-250) than anywhere else in the British Isles.

We have many different Metropoly Challenge routes already in place but each one is tailored to the profile of your group (i.e. age, fitness etc.) and also to where you are staying. If it is a one-day event we will recommend and even book for you a suitable place or venue to start and finish.

Clues and questions set in and around Brighton can include questions and photographic / film challenges around all manner of subjects including:

  • The Laines (Brighton’s network of tiny cobbled lanes bursting with antique shops)
  • Brighton Pier
  • Brighton Folklore
  • Brighton Rock (the film and the sweets)
  • Rock N Roll
  • Romans, Saxons and Medieval Kings
  • Fishing, fishermen and all things Sea
  • Students
  • The famous Brighton gay scene
  • Football
  • Trains
  • ……and so much more

Brighton has it all and is one of the most popular destinations we offer for any of our events. If you would like to find out more why not give us a call and we can talk you through the Brighton experience
